Taxes, Spending & Municipal Services
Property taxes fund many of the services residents use every day. Midland Council approves the municipal budget, sets the Town’s property-tax levy, and makes spending decisions about municipal programs, infrastructure and services. Some costs and services also involve Simcoe County or other levels of government.
Midland Council approves the Town’s annual budget and determines how municipal funds are allocated among local services and priorities. Council also establishes the municipal property-tax levy required to fund those decisions.
