Public Safety & Community Well-being
Public safety includes policing, traffic safety, emergency planning, by-law enforcement and local measures intended to improve safety and community well-being. Responsibility is shared among the Town and several other public bodies.
Midland Council can fund and direct municipal services such as by-law enforcement, traffic-calming measures and emergency planning, and can advocate or make decisions within the Town’s role in local policing arrangements and community-safety initiatives.
