Housing supply, affordability and growth shape Midland’s neighbourhoods, infrastructure needs and long-term development. Municipal decisions can influence where and how housing is built, while broader affordability is also affected by economic conditions and policies outside Town Hall.
Midland Council controls local land-use planning within provincial law, including zoning and many development approvals, and can make decisions about municipal land, infrastructure and local incentives. The Town works within County and provincial planning frameworks.
